Chris Canning

Chris Canning has been involved with ministry from a young age. Traveling with his family full time producing theatrical ministry gave him his first taste of what it was like to lead people into the kingdom, and experience God’s life transforming power. Upon realizing that God had called him into ministry Chris attended Bible College in the Atlanta, GA, and furthered his ministry training by interning under Randy Gill at The Embassy for three years. Following his days at The Embassy, Chris became the Student Ministries Pastor at New Life Church in Milton, ON.  

Along with his fervor for preaching and teaching messages that bring practical revelation, Chris has been involved with music ministry. For more than 10 years Chris has been passionate about seeing the church engaged in meaningful worship, and encountering the presence of God, all while cultivating a level of excellence that honors God.  

After leaving Milton in 2013, Chris began focusing on itinerate speaking and leading worship at various churches and camps in Canada and the US  

In 2014 Chris married his beautiful wife Ruth, They make their home in Oshawa,  

Chris joined the Evangel team in October 2015 and serves as Associate Pastor, and Worship Leader.
